OUR PARTNER: The client – a major, not-for-profit health system geographically dispersed across the Eastern United States with an annual $3B+ revenue – owns, manages, or jointly operates numerous types of facilities including acute-care and psychiatric hospitals, ambulatory care, nursing care, assisted living, home care, and hospice services.
THE BACKGROUND: A few years back, the organization’s leadership and stakeholders recognized a rapidly evolving information security landscape. Cyber-based attacks were becoming increasingly sophisticated, occurring more frequently, and posing a growing, serious threat to patient safety. Interested in proactively minimizing risk, the organization independently conducted numerous and varied internal and external investigations and subsequently identified several vulnerabilities affecting their security posture. To mitigate risks and reduce the likelihood of breaches, the organization selected Divurgent as its partner to develop a comprehensive Information Security Program.
THE SOLUTION: Divurgent engaged with the organization’s leadership to review research and collaboratively determined that implementing a customized Security Transformation Program to establish governance and adequately plan, design, and execute remediation efforts was the best approach to improve the organization’s cybersecurity foundation.
