Steve Hayter, Vice President of Affiliate Solutions, leads Divurgent’s efforts in advancing community connect programs with healthcare systems across the U.S. With more than thirty years of experience in information technology and twenty years focused in the healthcare space, Steve helps organizations achieve the benefits of a connected care network whether through joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, or a shared EHR platform with non-owned practices and hospitals. Steve shares the passion for and dedication to clients’ goals, driving him to deploy strategic programs aimed to support improved patient care and quality, higher patient/provider satisfaction, shared clinical records, and increased physician efficiency.
Prior to joining Divurgent, Steve served as CIO for three verticals within the University of Washington Medicine organization, led a national team of Epic analysts, and directed the development, implementation, and execution of Providence Health & Services Community Connect Program. While serving as the Senior Director for Community Connect for Providence Health & Services, Steve oversaw the development of all Epic integration strategies for joint ventures and developed the health information exchange (HIE) connectivity strategy for community-based physicians and hospitals over the five-state system.
Steve has also served as a board member for the Providence/Swedish joint venture, One Health Port, the Washington State HIE, and the Jefferson HIE in Medford, OR. Steve has more than twenty years of experience with Epic as a customer, and subsequently brings an in-depth understanding of the power and value of an integrated delivery system in the healthcare market.
