Steve, in his role of Vice President, Professional Services, applies his passion for developing and delivering solutions that solve the most pressing issues that plague the healthcare industry. As a recognized thought leader, Steve works with his clients to focus on driving value through technology-enabled process improvements centered around the recently introduced Quadruple Aim of enhancing the patient experience, improving population health, reducing costs, and improving the work life of healthcare providers. As a Divurgent leader, Steve will improve and expound upon Divurgent’s professional services and solutions, delivering top-tier performance and establishing customer confidence in their technologies, teams, and capabilities.
Steve began his career at Epic, where he earned certifications in 12 applications and managed several high-profile enterprise implementations, including Cleveland Clinic, the University of Michigan, and Cincinnati Children’s. While at Epic, Steve also participated in the development of Epic’s approach to automated charging and Meaningful Use.
After leaving Epic, Steve led the creation of a clinical transformation consulting practice that partners with many of the nation’s largest health systems to support enterprise transformation across all aspects of the system development lifecycle. Steve believes that the most successful solutions are ones developed in partnership with operations. By engaging operations early and often, organizations are better able to achieve the best possible results, while ensuring appropriate workflow and quality standards are met.
Steve is an active member in HIMSS and has published multiple articles on leveraging technology to improve clinical outcomes. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and is currently pursuing his MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management.
