Appointment is strategic as Divurgent’s growth surges and its service offerings expand
February 24, Virginia Beach, Va.—Divurgent, a recognized leader in healthcare IT consulting, announced today the appointment of Stephen Eckert, FACHE, as its President and Chief Operating Officer. The position – newly created for Eckert by Divurgent as the award-winning firm experiences rapid growth and unprecedented market demand – gives Eckert responsibility for directing Divurgent’s client services, delivery practices, marketing, recruiting, team resources, and overall operations. Eckert will report to Colin Konschak, Divurgent’s Chief Executive Officer and Managing Partner.
Eckert brings more than 20 years of leadership experience in healthcare IT, professional service delivery, marketing, and client services management. Prior to joining Divurgent, he held executive positions and led successful sales and delivery operations at multiple industry-leading organizations, building effective teams and methodologies while managing complex client relationships across the United States. Recently, as the Partner for National Client Services at Encore, A Quintiles Company, Eckert steered revenue growth approaching $100 million in the company’s first six years of operation while establishing a client roster that exceeded 130 in the same timeframe.
“In 2016, Divurgent will remain focused on our core set of service offerings – including Advisory Services, Activation Management, Clinical Advisory, and Revenue Cycle Management – while expanding strategically into the critically important Cybersecurity arena. At this exciting point in our evolution, adding Steve as our new President and COO given his years of experience is a key strategy for this year and beyond,” said Konschak. “We welcome Steve and look forward to his work with our entire leadership team to deliver on our strategic plan and goals for 2016, thereby further establishing Divurgent as the premier healthcare transformation firm in our industry.”
In December 2015 alone, Divurgent was named a gold winner in Best Place to Work for 2015’s Best in Biz Awards; a top-rated vendor in Go-Live Support Delivery by KLAS; and one of 50 companies ranked Most Promising Healthcare Solution Providers by CIOReview Magazine. Additionally, last October, Divurgent earned 20th position on Modern Healthcare’s Top 100 Best Places to Work in Healthcare.
“I am delighted by the opportunity to join and help drive the continued success of one of the smartest, most agile and responsive healthcare IT consulting companies in the industry,” said Eckert. “It will be an honor to work with some of the brightest minds in healthcare to ensure that our clients see only the most positive sides of growth and transformation through our integrated service areas. And I am especially energized by our new ventures in Revenue Cycle Management with our new RevInsite® solution as well as by our work to revolutionize how our clients deal with challenges in cybersecurity and privacy.”
Eckert will officially begin his new work at Divurgent on February 29th.
