Divurgent Launches Patient Outreach Solutions in Response to COVID-19

Divurgent deploys solutions to both put people back to work and assist healthcare organizations and patients combat the COIVD-19 crisis

 

April 5, 2020 Virginia Beach, VA – Divurgent, an international IT consulting company, announced today that it developed a solution to launch large scale patient outreach efforts while supporting small businesses negatively impacted by the COVID-19 epidemic. Divurgent has contracted with small businesses in the restaurant and hospitality industry to assist converting in-person patient appointments to video or phone visits and to ensure patients are able to use the required technology before the appointment. By contracting directly with small businesses, Divurgent ensures employees maintain their jobs and benefits while still undergoing Divurgent’s rigorous training and management program. Ralph Whalen, Senior Vice President of Consulting Services, explains, “Our goal isn’t to just create new temporary jobs, we want to preserve the economic infrastructure that provided the jobs in the first place. As the COVID-19 crisis develops, healthcare organizations are searching for ways to best protect their communities. Televisits maintain social distancing while offering access to much needed care. In addition to supporting the patient, telemedicine supports both provider and payer organizations. It maintains what may have been otherwise lost revenue for providers and prevents payers from issuing large reimbursements due to hospitalizations from contracting COVID-19 or forgoing regular care.

At the onset of the COVID-19 outbreak, Divurgent was asked to support multiple organizations that needed to convert outpatient appointments to televisits. Divurgent’s model allows the company to deploy its services within 48 hours and reach out to up to 20,000 patients per day per organization.

This platform allows health plans or provider organizations to identify at-risk patients, assess symptoms, develop care plans, and provide appropriate resources and next steps for receiving care.
