Divurgent Hires Bob Farrar as Principal, Payer Services

Bob serves as the executive leader over all payer-focused solutions, focusing on expanding the firm’s presence and impact on innovation for clients in the payer market

March 18, 2021 – Virginia Beach, VA – Divurgent, an international IT consulting company, announced today that it hired Robert (Bob) Farrar as Principal, Payer Services. Bob joins Divurgent as a key member of the executive team, where he is already making significant strides in the expansion of the firm’s payer value proposition across new clients, as well as refining Divurgent’s solution suite for payer and risk-bearing organizations.

Bob has more than 25 years of experience leading clients through strategic planning and transformative initiatives, as well as software and technology innovation programs, including software, technology, delivery, premier clients, pilot programs, and partnerships and joint ventures. His passion for the industry is evident, and, across his tenured career, has made significant impacts for his client across all points of the healthcare value chain. His experience as CIO and CTO in healthcare companies, as well as his entrepreneurial experience in virtual companies, positions him to solve the tough problems payer and risk-bearing organizations are facing in today’s climate.

Prior to joining Divurgent, Bob held positions at UnitedHealth Group, as Vice President, Optum Insight HIE Business Operations, and Cognizant, as Market Lead; he has held executive positions at several health plans and started his career at Accenture. Bob holds an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and is a Certified Health Insurance Executive (CHIE) with America’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP).
